Beijing athletes allowed to blog
The International Olympic Committee is for the first time permitting athletes to write blogs.
The IOC has set out guidelines for blogging at the Beijing Games to ensure copyright agreements are not infringed.
They include bans on posting any audio or visual material of action from the games themselves.
The move follows the increasing use of unofficial blogs by athletes in previous Games, including Athens in 2004 and the Turin Winter Games.
"It is required that, when accredited persons at the games post any Olympic content, it be confined solely to their own personal Olympic-related experience," said an IOC statement.
'Personal expression'
Posting confidential information about other people is also outlawed.
"The IOC considers blogging... as a legitimate form of personal expression and not a form of journalism," the Olympic authority said.
"Blogs should be dignified and in good taste."
The IOC guidelines follow concern that the games could become highly politicised, with China's human rights record, its treatment of dissidents and links with Sudan becoming major issues.
Some national Olympic committees in Europe found themselves at the centre of a row after being accused of trying to prevent athletes from speaking out on issues such as Darfur.
In my opinion...
I think that's a great idea, because all people can see how athletes feel and live the Olympic games.
It could be an important change on communication sports, sometimes a interview only shows specific points that journalist select, but in this case the own competitors give us a new vision.
With this action:
*We learn more of our favorite sportman.
*Known better how prepare to practice a sporting discipline.
* Have a complete vision of this important social sport event.
How The Cardigans survived success
By Mark Savage
Entertainment reporter, BBC News
Unlike wine, cheese and Bruce Forsyth, pop stars tend not to improve with age.
Stevie Wonder's legacy will always be overshadowed by the schmaltzy I Just Called To Say I Love You, while the sight of Simon Le Bon puffing through one of Duran Duran's recent live shows has permanently written off the band's sex appeal.
One exception to the rule is Swedish pop group The Cardigans, who have bettered themselves with every album - from their kitschy, lo-fi debut, Emmerdale, to the stately melancholy of 2005's Super Extra Gravity.
Along the way they've notched up a string of hit singles - Sick and Tired, Lovefool, Erase/Rewind - which have just been gathered up for a best-of compilation.
The band have slipped under the radar in the UK in recent years, while still releasing chart-topping albums at home, but they remain philosophical about the situation.
"It's tricky to be flavour of the month for 13 years," says bassist Magnus Sveningsson with an air of worldly wisdom.
"It's disappointing when records don't sell as much as you'd like," admits glamorous singer Nina Persson, "but it's not really surprising.
"The market sucks these days. It would never allow a band like us to become successful again."
The group started out as leftfield indie darlings, with a retro sound recorded on vintage equipment - "we had a kind of dogme method," says Sveningsson - and developed into an austere power pop band, before mellowing into their latest, acoustic incarnation.
Music fans know them best for the insanely catchy Lovefool, but the band have always had a love-hate relationship with the song, which rarely gets played at their live shows.
Today, however, Persson seems to have made her peace with it.
"Not all music has to be an intellectual masterpiece," she says. "Pop music is brilliant."
"It's quite a cheesy song, but it made our bank managers happy," adds Sveningsson.
'We were messes'
The ambivalence towards their biggest hit is partly fuelled by the recognition that global success nearly destroyed The Cardigans in the late 1990s.
Sessions for their fourth album, Gran Turismo, were racked with tension as the childhood friends began to squabble.
"We were messes. We shouldn't have done that record," says Persson - but she is proud the clipped, precise recordings "captured the atmosphere" in the studio.
As an example, Sveningsson explains that the hit single My Favourite Game, a driving electro-rock powerhouse built around a two-note guitar riff, was originally supposed to be "a shuffle song".
"It sort of sounded like Old Man from Neil Young's Harvest album," he says.
"When Peter [Svensson, guitarist and chief songwriter] first played it, I thought 'that sounds like crap' and I walked out.
"So there was a lot of tension at that time, and I was grumpy as hell."
Gran Turismo was a huge success, selling more than 2.5 million copies.
But as the band prepared to take it on tour, Sveningsson collapsed and started having panic attacks, leading to a year off work.
Relations between the remaining members barely improved and, with the exception of a collaboration with Tom Jones, they didn't record together again for five years.
"It was hard for us to come up with reasons to continue," says Persson, "but we didn't want to just throw things away".
'Beardy' record
Reconvening in 2002, the band struggled to recapture their spark. Recording sessions lasted nine months, and long-time producer Tore Johansson walked out.
"He thought it was kind of boring," shrugs Sveningsson.
The resulting album, Long Gone Before Daylight, shed the electronic tension of Gran Turismo for a series of acoustic, country-tinged ballads.
The band affectionately call it their "beardy" record, but they all admit it is their favourite.
"After being so close to breaking up, maybe that album wasn't supposed to be, but it ended up being the most beautiful kid in our family," says Sveningsson.
Disappointingly, the record only sold 500,000 copies, although it was lauded by critics.
The Cardigans insist the best-of album doesn't spell the end of the band - although they are now without a record deal outside Sweden - and they hope it will introduce casual fans to their more recent work.
"If they haven't heard it, they should," says Persson.
But, she admits, the band are happier to be working on a smaller scale after the madness of the 1990s.
"The way people talk about our records is different now. Not as many people may have heard them, but the ones that have adore them.
"You've made a bigger mark and, in a way, that makes me feel better somehow."
The Best Of The Cardigans is out now.
In my opinion...
When I read this new, the first song in my mind was Love fool, of Cardigans of course, and I don´t believe all this kind of problems in their band.
But then , I´m made a reflection, we´re living on a ephimeral world when only the fashion songs determinate what happened with music.
In this case, the producers and managers of the band didn't see qualities of the artists only sales for companies, and that´s to bad because excellent groups came down or only we have flash artist.
Think in any artist,of your chilhood...are they exist nowadays? The probable answer is No. Finally, I want to make a reflection about musical consumism, we have different opportunities to choose, but remember the betters that made you felt good.

In my opinion...
The culture of ecology and green advertising have interesting results in science, specially in cars, the principals machines of pollution.
Through the years, we use fuels like oil, gas, electricity, ethanol and now the hydrogen-powered that has been developed by a consortium of UK companies and universities.
It´s really exciting this new automobile models, not only we can care the environment, also, we have a great speed range of about 250 miles (400km) and has a top speed of around 90mph.
The hybrid fashion is take up again for value brans like Mazda with his RX-8 or Honda has also announced that its petrol hybrid CR-Z sports car concept would launch in 2009.
Perhaps, one inconvenient is to produce hydrogen by splitting water uses a large amount of electricity, the designers need to think about it before at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland between 6 and 16 March.
The dream of fly on an automobile will see far.

In my opnion:
Good news for mexicans!!! A compound isolated from the frog, which grows to 27cm stimulates insulin release.
Its importanat to say there are
2 million people in the UK have type 2 diabetes and in México is the first dead illness.
A diabetic person can´t produce enough insulin, or when the insulin that is produced doesn´t work fine.
It means people can´t regulate their blood glucose levels properly.
The benefits of this amphibian discovered are there were no toxic effects on the cells, this secretion helps patients to reduce or control heart diseases, high blood pressure...we only need to wait and get in Mexico. (I hope soon)
Hubble site is an interactive web site when it´s easy learn more about our space.
Sometimes is difficult to watch the sky (probably pollution is one fact)but when you visited this internet page, the curiouse to high up your eyes is inmediately.
I visited the link Highlights of march sky....and was it really amazing because I don´t know that march constellations are Gemini and Cancer, and also that the distance of the second is 557 light years away from us!!!
Another interesting point was about Saturn´s dominantion sky in this month, the only star doesn´t twinkle.
Finally there was an explanation about equinox, this nature event herald the beginning of change seasons.
Camera 'looks' through clothing!!!!
Thats a new advantage of this modern society, it can see explosive, drugs and weapons from 25 meters... I only hope that security system dont critize my under wear clothes, jaja.
This machine operates with the thruvision system who is based on T-ray, technology, normally used by astronomers to study dying stars.
Imagine that some day your on an airport, bus station or simply on the street and you can see on a screen your silluete body with colors and they discovered a strange one who has a different tone...in this moment is correct for you to think: oh !! I´m in problems.
Finally, I think thats a good tool for criminalistic or drug cases, it could be an expensive solution for smuggling!!!
Keep when you want to introduce sandwiches for the airplane fly!!!

Earthquake hits Britain: the biggest tremor in 25 years
This new talk about the surprising eartquake registered the past 27th February 2008, which its magnitude was 5.2 on the Richter Scale.
If we compare with mexican eartquakes,it was small, very, very calm; and for mexicans don´t represent a great damage like 85s quake.
But for british people, it´s different because the extension of this earth's movement cover almost the large of their country!!!
Its necessary to make prevention programs for all natural disasters, our planet always is in movement, and we need to care our lives.
Try and find some information about what kind of guard guides are in your country...of course if you want to survive in an unexpected event.

Solar System's 'look-alike' found
Sometimes, we have the impression that all the things in this universe are unique, without copies ...but if we want a true explanation we need to see what technology makes for us.
Recently the astronomers have discovered a planetary system orbiting a distant star which looks much like our own.
This event was possible with gravitational micro- lensing, a technique used to find exoplanets which towards detecting gas giant planets in short distances.
The importance of it consists in a necessity to know more about a possible similar way of life out of esarth or simply to make a scientific fashion to detect new planets.

Arizona Raising
This comedy movie shows the adventures of a couple with an ex-con and an ex-cop who can't have biological babies, so they decided to help themselves to one of another family's quintupelets.
Their lives get more complicated and we can see a lot of mishaps in all the plot. For example, at the beginnig when Herbert the criminal enters to the babies room and the door of the crib felt down of his back.
Another mishap occurs when Herbert steals diapers and cash from a smart store ...the mishap was he couldn´t see when the employee activated the police alarm. For this reason he sucked into a wild chase around the local neighborhood.
An important mishap is when Gale and Evelle (criminals and friends of Herbert) overheard that Jr is a robbed baby, and they immediately decided to take him themselves for the reward. But before, they tried to rob the bank, but end up leaving Junior behind in the road in his car seat!!!!
I can found a moral in this movie: If you´re infertile and your husband has a criminal record and you can´t adopt...why not to be a nanny ?? Think it so.
Paty. Your video was great. You have great oral skills: accent, pronunciation, entonation, etc.....
